Halloumi Cheese

Under the influence of the Mediterranean climate, Cyprus has a sunny and mild climate and therefore the sheep, goats, and cows on the island produce the most suitable milk for halloumi. Halloumi has been approved by the EU as a product specific to Cyprus and received PDO (Protected Designation of Origin) and therefore can be produced only with the milk produced in Cyprus.

Halloumi is the only type of cheese that does not melt when cooked or grilled, which makes it special for many recipes and world cuisines.

We, as the Meriç family, have been proudly producing halloumi with our original recipe since 1998. Our unique flavor is based on recipes from our family roots. Today, the new generation in the management pays attention to preserving our original family taste while adapting to new technologies in production. Also, our signature taste and unique recipe comes from using our own production of milk from our farm.
